So it has been a while but not too much happened. I went to Munich for another box Lacrosse tournament which was a lot of fun. There were some better teams there so we didn't do as weel as we did in Göttingen.
The drive was pretty rough because it's 6 hours south from Köln and it was foggy then rainy then by the time we were finally outside Munich it was snowing pretty hard. It was a long drive....
The first night was a lot of fun. We were staying at the university for the Bundeswehr so it was a campus. They had a little bar around the corner from the gym we stayed and that's where we spent the night drinking and meeting new people. It was like 200 lacrosse players taking over this tiny little bar which was very cool.
This is Nora, Kai, Laura and I....dancing on a table.
We stumbled home pretty late and I somehow managed to find a sleeping spot on this giant mat which was nice.
The morning was rough as we were awoken by awfully loud wompy womp music that one should never have to hear at that volume so early in the morning.
We won all of our games the first day and I played a few pick up games as well. That night there was a party in the space above the bar we had been in the night before. It was alright but mostly fun because it was like the entire Köln group took over a section and we were all dancing.
The next day was rough and we lost pretty badly. We ended up getting 4th out of 11 teams I believe.
I have started painting again and I'm enjoying it. I painted Holly something and then for Tina's birthday I made her one as well.
This was for Holly. Not sure how to spin it.
This one was for Tina.
I got in a car accident here which of course, was very scary. I was very lucky that I was able to walk away. The car was not so lucky and unfortunately, the Schüles have to get a new car. The fact that I was in such a big car is most likely the reason I wasn't more injured. I have lots of pain in my knees and some in my shoulder and neck from the airbag but I am going to manuelle therapie here which was a prescription from the doctor! I had to sit out a couple weeks of lacrosse but played today (more than 3 weeks after).
This was after the game today. We lost horribly after we had dug a pretty deep grave the first half. We won the second half which was great the way we stepped it up but upsetting to know we could have been playing like that the whole game. My first official German lacrosse game! Good thing I know the rules and hand signs because I couldn't really understand the refs.
I've been to some classes at the old school including yoga and Anja's step classes. I also went to Zumba yesterday in Schalkenbach which was fun.
Hmmmm what else.....
I leanred how to knit.
It's still winter here. Tina and I went on a beautiful walk through the snow a couple weeks ago.
I can't say it enough....it's a winter wonderland here.
Hopefully the snow will all be gone for my birthday on Tuesday!!
